CASE STUDY

Client: North Kesteven County Council

Brief: This groundbreaking Lincolnshire-based youth training and environmental programme run by North Kesteven County Council and training partners, Watch North Kesteven, require a film to show the benefits of this joint venture.

Highlighting the impacts of this scheme that utilises youth truancy and employment training for the local environment, make a short documentary for the local community, stakeholders and nationwide local authorities to showcase the success and merits of the programme.

Solution: International award winning documentary maker and author Dr. Nick Rosen (Twin-towers – Sacred Ground and Off-Grid) was chosen as director for this production. Bringing his environmental expertise was key to showing the countless benefits offered by the scheme.

Early consultations with the local council, training partners, stakeholders and participants helped plan the structure of the initial framework for the documentary: a mix of interview and fly-on-the-wall footage showing the programme at work

Outcome: Stakeholders in the venture were kept up-to-date of the latest developments for the scheme and it was widely received with positive national coverage.

The documentary helped to explore the possibilities of expanding and rolling out the programme in other districts, while securing further funding for the venture from both the private and public sectors.
